This superboss “Sanguine Gladiator” is one of the 10 Superbosses. This superboss has high HP and primarily uses physical attacks. So, let’s equip equipment that increases physical defense before we fight.
The skill “Headbutt” is the biggest threat. It can one-shot us. However, the superboss only uses Headbutt on even turns. Therefore, the enemy will never use Headbutt on the turn following its use. So, let’s use that turn to heal your party members. However, the supberboss will use Headbutt up to twice per turn when its HP is below 50%. Additionally, the boss will use Headbutt up to three times per turn when its HP is below 75%. Be careful. Headbutt can sometimes be blocked by a shield, so it is desirable to equip it if possible. If your HP is getting low, use skill “Second Wind” in defense mode to heal. If an ally is down, use Healing Water to revive them.
In the video, the class of three party members is set to Rosalian Officer. This is done to increase the defense of the party members when fighting in defense mode. Therefore, it is important to have skills that can be used in defense mode prepared in advance. In the video, the skill “Still Blade” is mainly used. The remaining two party members are set to the class “Castle Knight” to increase the chance of Deflect. the boss’s skill “Headbutt” can also deflect. In the video, I used “Armor Blessing” to increase defense before attacking. Since the defense boost effect of “Armor Blessing” is permanent, let’s cast it first. Also, it is also a good idea to attack the superboss with skill “Bonecrusher” to lower its STR and reduce its attack power. In the video, the two castle knights is trying to reduce the boss’s attack power using “Bonecrusher”.
