Intro
I defeated eight legendary dragons with one party member only in these videos. That’s just a restricted play. You don’t need to do so.
Earth Dragon
Name | Earth Dragon |
Location | Opera House |
HP | 28,500 |
Skill | Normal Attack Quake Landslide 50 Gs Magnitude 8 |
Weakness | Wind Water Slow Poison Sleep Darkness |
To avoid Quake, equip Angel Wings before the battle. Sleep and Poison are effective against Earth-Dragon. Strago, Shadow, and Gau can use Wind and Water elemental attacks.
Storm Dragon
Name | Storm Dragon |
Location | Mt Zozo |
HP | 42,000 |
Skill | Normal Attack Aeroga Wind Slash Wing Saber Leaf Swifl Cyclonic |
Weakness | Lightning |
The storm dragon is the strongest of the legendary ones. There’re few types of equipment to prevent Wind elemental attacks in the Final Fantasy 6. It must be a tough battle if you are a low-level player. Let Gau equip Snow Scarf and use Rage “Io.”
Red Dragon
Name | Red Dragon |
Location | Phoenix Cave |
HP | 30,000 |
Skill | Normal Attack Fira FIraga Flare Fireball Southern Cross Lv.4 Flare Flare Star Eracer |
Weakness | Ice Water Poison Confuse |
Equip Flame Shield and Reflect Ring. Keep inflicting Confuse on the dragon. Plus, use Blizzaga and Ice Rods.
Ice Dragon
Name | Ice Dragon |
Location | Narshe Cliffs |
HP | 24,400 |
Skill | Normal Attack Absolute Zero Northen Cross Avalanche |
Weakness | Poison Confuse Berserk Slow Darkness Fire |
Ice Dragon is vulnerable to Berserk. You might want to do fire elemental attacks after using Berserk. Equip Ice Shield, just in case.
Blue Dragon
Name | Blue Dragon |
Location | Ancient Castle |
HP | 26,900 |
Skill | Normal Attack Ripper Aqua Breath Flash Rain Acid Rain Tsunami Slow |
Weakness | Lightning |
Equip Tortoise Shield to prevent water-elemental attacks. You can steel the shield from Basilisk.Use Thunder Rods and Thundaga during the battle.
It is the easiest way that Gau uses Rage “Aspiran.” The monster can absorb water-elemental attacks and can cast Gigavolt.
Holy Dragon
Name | Holy Dragon |
Location | Cultists’ Tower |
HP | 18,500 |
Skill | Holy Dispel |
Weakness | Slow Stop Silence |
Holy dragon’s Holy is powerful, so equip Reflect Rings just in case. Even if you can bounce Holy to the dragon, it absorbs Holy elemental magic. It is weak against Silence. Firstly, you cast Silence and then attack it with non-elemental magic such as Flare, Meteor, and Ultima.
Gold Dragon
Name | Gold Dragon |
Location | Kefka’s Tower |
HP | 32,400 |
Skill | Thunder Thundara Thundaga Gigavolt Reflect |
Weakness | Water |
Gold Dragon never does attack normally. Its attacks are all lightning-elemental ones. Gigavolt cannot bounce with a reflect ring. It is easy to defeat it when you equip Minerva Bustier or Thunder shield.
Skull Dragon
Name | Skull Dragon |
Location | Kefka’s Tower |
HP | 32,800 |
Skill | Normal Attack Apparition Will o’ the Wisp Doom |
Weakness | Fire Holy |
Skull Dragon is not an undead monster, but Fire and Holy is weak against it. Memento Ring and Safety Bit can negate Doom. When you cause Doom to be suffered, the number above your head counts down. However, you can prevent from count zero death by equipping these. Also, hold a flame shield for Will o’ the Wisp. Just use holy rods or Holy during the battle.
