I’ll explain how to defeat the bosses with low levels.

Intro

There’s no need to defeat Catoblepas, Gil Turtle, and Carbuncle. If you wouldn’t open the treasure chest on the 11th floor in the Exdeath castle, you could skip encountering Gilgamesh’s battle. However, I defeated them all.

 

 

Catoblepas

Name	Catoblepas
HP	5000
Weakness	Poison

Catoblepas only attacks normally or drain magic. If you want to defeat the boss soon, you release the monster called Iron Dress. The monster is in the cave nearby.

The poison is effective against Catoblepas. In the above video, I cast poison and then let the knight-equipped Bone Mail use Guard. If so, the draining magic is reflective against the boss.

 

 

Gil Turtle

Weakness	Ice Requiem

Gil Turtle is the strongest boss in the second world. The boss is also an undead monster. It might be a tough battle if you attack the boss normally. Gil Turtle has a counterattack throwing a turtle twice. Also, the boss has a final attack using Earthquake.

Firstly, levitate all party members before the battle. The counterattack “Turtle” is just a physical attack. So, you can guard the attack. It is also good that you avoid the counterattack using Image ability. If you want to guard attack, you need to equip Bone Mail and Genji Gloves. Because the counterattack inflicts status attacks such as paralyze, poison, confuse, old, and darkness.

Secondry, the requiem song is effective against undead monsters like Gil Turtle. Sing the song to defeat the turtle.

 

 

???? (Crystals)

The boss ???? “Crystals” is powerful. If each crystal’s HP is under 3000, use powerful magics such as Firaga, Aeroga, Earthquake, and Aqua Breath.

The easiest way to defeat them is you mix Dark Matter and Pheonix Down to use them. However, I did not use the way in the above movie. I damaged about 2000 to them and then released the Iron Dress.

 

 

Carbuncle

Weakness	Any bad status after using Cura

You don’t need to fight against Carbuncle. It is a useful summon. So you can defeat it.

The boss has no weakness first, but after casting Cura itself, all bad status is effective against it. So, I used the break of the spell blade and waited for the Cura magic. And then, I attacked it with the spell blade.

 

 

Gilgamesh (4th)

Weakness	–

You can fight against Gilgamesh, opening the chest on the 11th floor. He uses some Blue Magic like Pond song, Flash, Dischord, and Time-slip. Also, he attacks normally. The party member’s safe after you summon Golem. After you damage over 18000 HP to him, he changes his true form. Then, you can steal Genji Helm from him.

To defeat him, I recommend that you release two Magic Dragons. That’s the easiest way. The dragon is in the Exdeath castle.

 

 

Exdeath (1st)

Weakness	–

Exdeath is so powerful. You can deal with the normal attack and Vacuum Wave using the guard. Also, you can reflect any magic equipping a reflect ring. Make sure to levitate all party members because he can cast Earthquake. However, if he uses Zombie Breath, the members die. In the SNES version, level 2 old magic is effective against Exdeath. Unfortunately, the magic is useless in this Pixel Remaster.

The easiest way is to release four Magic Dragons or Yellow Dragons. Both are in the Exdeath castle.

 

 

Conclusion

A Reflect Ring is a practical accessory. Be sure to steal four rings from a reflect mage before defeating Exdeath. The mage is in its castle.
